Does the zodiac change only apply to the people who were born after 09?

Everyone has been saying that there is a new zodiac called Ophiuchus and every ones zodiac has changed. Some people are saying it only applies to people you are born after 09. Will someone tell the correct answer?|||This is not new. It is Sidereal Astrology. Astronomers use the Sidereal zodiac, and Eastern cultures use it also.





Western astrology uses the Tropical zodiac. Your OLD sign (which really isn't) is your Western sign. These NEW signs (which have been around for several thousand years) are the Sidereal signs. Either is accurate and can be used. It is your choice on how you wish to label yourself.





Astrologers have known about all this for years. It is nothing new.

These changes are to the Sidereal zodiac used by astronomers and by Vedic (India) astrologers. The Sidereal zodiac is always slowly changing.





Western astrologers use a totally different zodiac system (Tropical zodiac), and there are no changes. Business as usual. All serious knowledgeable astrologers understand both systems, but most of us use only the Tropical zodiac.

Tropical zodiac|||I must confess to being totally stymied by such questions. Astrology puts the earth at the center of the solar system. So why all the angst about the position of some stars that are still where they were the last time you cast your eyes skyward? You're all worried about the "new" constellation but you still have the earth at the center of the solar system. Don't you think that's a rather bizarre distortion of what's important?



Sara: Epic fail on reading the post. That the earth isn't the center of the solar system was kind of the point. Sorry you were so confused by such a simple idea. But then again... it does pretty much support the notion that the true faithful aren't real clear on how things actually work. LOL!|||anyone born in the last 300 years or so.








its called presession. the constellations no longer rise and fall at the same dates that you are used to. what are you going to trust the man-made calander that we use today with exactly 7 days a week forever or just take out a telescope and see what constellation rises above the horizon on your birthday at sunset???
