Do you still believe you are your original zodiac sign?
I have absolutely nothing against Virgos. I love their sign, I think they are one of the greatest signs. But I don't want to be a sign I don't fit. My personality is so Libra, and its annoying that this new zodiac thing is trying to 'change' it.

Now that Pluto is no longer a planet, doesn't that alter the rest of the Zodiac for believers of astrology?
I've read that Pluto wasn't added to the Zodiac until after its discovery. How can something as profound as the belief that our time and place of birth in connection with the stars can influence us go through these kinds of additions and deletions (as in the case of Pluto) without becoming diminished or distorted? Thank you for your answers!|||Labels, like "planet" or "dwarf planet" for instance (don't get me started about the ridiculousness of the few categories in the IAUs scheme!), are just ideas in our head, they don't change anything. i'm not really a believer in astrology, i just think studying it is fun. i think that by astrological belief though, all of the space objects out there have SOME influence on us, not just the official planets. the objects listed are just the ones astrologers have figured out a connection with between them and our personalities/influences. even a few asteroids are listed as 'influencing your personality', so i don't think pluto will be taken out of the zodiac chart just for not being an official planet.|||No, doesn't alter. Not to mention that natal astrology (studying one's personality on the basis of their time and date of birth) is quite recent, and old astrology was more used to predict. Knowing that, you can imagine why a medieval Astrologer was happy enough with the objects he already had to use: his prophecies always came true so why look any further?

Uranus was discovered long before Pluto (1781 is the official date but it was probably spotted and incorrectly identified prior to that) as was Neptune (1845 but Galileo spotted it and mistook it for a fixed star). So it is puzzling why your reference to being "added to the zodiac" is limited to Pluto. It's also true the astronomers didn't add it to the solar system before they knew about it. How can a science so basic as astronomy go through these additions and deletions without becoming diminished or distorted?
The discovery of the three outer planets did have an effect on astrology that is too long and involved to go into here. Let's leave it that it upset the table of dignities. This is not an insurmountable problem as you suggest, but rather an indication that in astrology as in astronomy there are things we don't know. All fields of study have their ups and downs. Opinions of historical events change over time as well as our understanding of the applied sciences. Astrology is no different.|||Up until 1930 when Pluto was discovered, astrologers have been working for hundreds and hundreds of years without it. As a fairly 'traditional' astrologer myself I focus much more heavily on the traditional planets - i.e. not Uranus, Neptune or Pluto. That is not to say I do not use them at all. To make an analogy, if we were taking about cooking, I would say that the meat, pasta, veggies, etc. are the traditional planets and the seasoning is the the 'outer' planets. If you can cook well and have good fresh ingredients that's all you really need, but the seasoning definitely adds flavour.
Personally, I will work with the outer planets in exactly the same way as I have done up till now, and I would guess that most other astrologers will do the same. As far as traditional astrology goes, I guess it remains unscathed by the Scientists' demotion of Pluto!
Astrology is not the only field that has to adapt to new discovery and/or change. Just look at how Einstein's theories revolutionised what had become well established in the world of physics.

I just applied it to my 3-year-old cat Lexus and I was just reading online that Zodiac is actually harmful to cats! WHAT?! Is this true? Has anyone had a cat that had negative reactions to Zodiac spot on plus?|||Hello.
Actually, Zodiac can be very harmful to cats, as well as the other flea medications that are sold over the counter, at retail stores, some pet stores and online.
I haven't had a personal cat of mine have problems with it as I use Advantage or Frontline only. I work in a small animal clinic as a veterinary technician and I have seen cats who have become seriously ill from the product you are describing. They can suffer from seizures, kidney failure and other ailments.
That being said, not all cats will react to it indefinately but many do. If you've just applied it, I'd wash it right off before it has time to be absorbed into the bloodstream.
If you applied it long enough ago where absorption is likely to have already occurred, keep a very close eye on your cat. Watch out for changes in appetite, behavior and appearance.
If you notice any changes, call your vet right away and let them know that Zodiac was applied and when it was applied.
It's very possible that your cat will be OK. In the future, I'd recommend using only Frontline, Advantage or Revolution from your vet. For now, keep a close eye on you cat just to be safe and if it's been fairly recent, wash as much of it off as you can.|||I have heard that Zodiac IS harmful to cats, but don't know for sure. The ONLY ones I trust are Frontline and Advantage. NEVER use anything that you buy over the counter (like at Wal-Mart, etc.) on ANY animal--especially a cat. Do you make judgments about someone based on their zodiac sign?
I've always thought zodiac readings were superstitious. Do you assume traits of my personality based on the fact that I'm a Capricorn?|||I think astrology is just another form of superficiality. A prejudice based on meaningless data. Judging someone for their personality, a personality you have no first hand verification of, is as prejudicial and as superficial as anything. Superficial, yes, because only a birth date was exchanged and nothing more. Personality traits certainly werent communicated. But the presumption is made that they were. Id rather a woman reject me for my body than for my zodiac sign (which *has* happened). Women that reject for looks are at least being real. Those that reject for personalities they cant possibly know about are just deluding themselves about be righteous.|||i categorise people according to their signs. i see many similar traits in ppl with the same signs. i dont make judgements based on signs, but i feel more comfortable with people of some signs, and this feeling came from experience. for example, i will be comfortable meeting u, we r the same signs. i m usually more alert when in presence of 2 signs: leo and scorpio.
no, i dont reject ppl bcos of their signs, but the signs give a first impression to me, and is built up on by knowing the person. there s no bad sign, but each sign has a different trait, a different power. but the traits when used by the wrong ppl can become dangerous. for example, the leo's have a very loving and patronizing nature, but on the negative side they can sometims become as savage as a lion when they want. it depends on the person, not the sign|||I usually don't ask people their birthdays when I first meet them.
Instead, I like to play a game. Get to know them for awhile, observe them. Im a very intuitive person, I just get certain vibes from people. And then I like to guess their signs.
Ive noticed that I am particularly fond of people with Cancer moons.
