What is the method for determining ownership of a zodiac by a planet in the solar system? Any explanation?

In India, it is taken that a planet owns a zodiac,e.g., venus owns libra, mercury owns virgo etc. How this is known? What is the method of determining such ownership? What are the logical or scientific explanation?|||No. No explanation. It's all arbitrary. If it weren't arbitrary you'd expect a statistically discernible pattern. The bottom line is that there is no logical or scientific explanation. And no one in here will EVER post anything that shows there's logical or scientific support.... just ad hominems. Just watch and see....

11th and 10th signs are owned by the next farthest planet in the solar system.|||There is and cannot be any logical and scientific explanation to such an absurd and ridiculous notion of a planet in the solar system owning a zodiac. Our ancient sages are not party to such risible notions. None of the original seven Vedic sages (Saptarshi) Vashisth, Atri, Angira, Marichi, Kratu, Pulaha and Pulastya had anything to do with such absurd ideas that stars and planets control and guide human life and destiny. Another sage Vrigu of the later Vedic period is claimed to have composed and compiled "Vrigu Samhita", a treaties on astrology. But that treaties is written in sanskrit and not in the same language prevalent during the vedic period. It is quite possible that some later-day priest and astrologer composed it taking the nom-de-plume "Vrigu". The same may be true also about the great sage "Parashara" of Mahavarata fame. Astrology came to India from Babylon, where it originated, through the middle-east countries at a much later time.|||There is no explanation as such and explanations offered are in fact excuses only. It is sometimes said that the traits of planet which connects with the traits of a zodiac, is stated to own that house. But there is no explanationor proof of how a planet has those traits at all and how the zodiac also has the same traits. Zodiac signs are creations of man by drawing imaginary lines through different stars in the sky which are millions of light years away from one another and have no relation or interaction between or amongst them. How such an imaginary creation can have some qualities?


Please do not try to find reason in a superstitious belief.|||The Sages who were living in ancient India found that the movement of planets/ planetary position have some correlation on the movement of life.





Horoscope is actually a still photography taken on the planetary position at the time of birth.


The sages had taken 9 planets ( solar system ), 27 stars ( nearer to our solar system ) and 12 zodiac signs ( Galaxy of Stars nearer to our Solar system ) for Calculations.





Imagine a person like Arjun Singh, might have born before 1000 years ago, with the same planetary position. By understanding the character, appearance, life of that Arjun Singh ( lived 1000 years ago ), one can learn whether there are any similarity between between the two Arjun Singh.





Our Sages had learnt this techniques with the samples running into thousands/ or even lakhs.


By this learning, they have had received flow of informations. To simplify their finding, they have devised a statistical tool of permutations and combinations.

So if you want to know the reason for allotment of 12 zodiac signs to 7 planets, you should first develop your mind faster and intelligent enough like the one who devised various theorem by our mathematical experts or noble lauetrats.

In present-day West Bengal we have a number of Vrigu, Parasara, Jaimini etc. many of them previously practising astrology, but now Tantric-astrology (astrology having lost much of its credibility and Tantric being the modern craze). A few of them wrote treaties on astrology also.


If it is true that one Arjun of 1000 years back had the exactly same horoscope and exactly same life and destiny as that of the present asker Arjun, I would accept only if the facts are presented with all evidences and proofs in support of such a claim.|||The planet is associated with the sign its traits most connect to... same as the house rulerships. The established fact is that the ancient indian sages rejected the faith. Vedas and Upanisadas are witnesses to such rejection.|||it is a common rule it has tobe accepted
