That says it all....
I am constellation illiterate, and I need to know some of this stuff for a class
If you could just send me a link about the constellations within the zodiac, that would be fantastic|||Easy, the well known 12 signs in horoscopes, are also the constellations in astronomy along the 'zodiac'. The zodiac rather is called the 'ecliptic'. However, the 'ecliptic' also crosses a 13th constellation, Ophiuchus!
The 'ecliptic' is the path the sun seems to make between the stars in a year time, of course due to the ride of Earth around the Sun in a year time.|||http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zodiac|||Aries - The Ram (After the Ram with the golden fleece)
Taurus - The Bull
Gemini - The Twins (After Zeus' sons Castor and Pollux)
Cancer - The Crab
Leo - The Lion (After the Nemean Lion slain by Hercules)
Virgo - The Virgin
Libra - The Scales
Scorpio - The Scorpion
Sagittarius - The Archer (After Chiron, a wise centaur and teacher to many greek heroes, like Hercules)
Capricorn - The (Sea) Goat
Aquarius - The Water/ Cup Bearer (Many say it is Ganymede, a very handsome young man, who was kidnapped by Zeus to be the cup bearer of the gods)
Pisces - The Fish (When Aphrodite and her son Eros had to flee from a monster, they took the form of two fishes)
Sorry... I don't know exactly the legend of every sign... But I hope I could help you.
